Project Description

After years of planning, Union Brewery in 2013 decided to transform the former malting premises into a classic, yet modern beer hall. Together with an experienced team of caterers, designers and architect Eva Hrovatin, PROprima worked on the project from the very idea, concept, design and execution design phase to the final construction works.
Designing the most famous beer hall in Ljubljana was a great challenge for us, which was additionally spiced up by the fact that the legality of industrial architectural works from the early 20th century had to be taken into account. Of course, the bar counter is considered a central part of the beer hall. But the aim of our technological project was much higher: we wanted to design “a show kitchen”, which would enable the guests to see what is happening there. Thus, the show kitchen represents an equally important technological element as the bar counter.
